121st Independence Day






          Independence Day is one of the most celebrated occasion here in the Philippines. This is the day when we Filipinos achieved our freedom from the Spaniards after being colonized within 333 years. It was first celebrated on June 12, 1892 and was led by former President Emilio Aguinaldo.


          As of now Independence Day is continuously being celebrated for honoring our ancestors. Sometimes we students are being benefited because we have no class on that day. For me, Independence day is the start of us Filipinos to stand on our own and be independent.

         I thank our ancestors and heroes who fought for our freedom and sacrificed their lives. They had the guts to do it for our country and I salute them.

        When I was a kid,  I used to have plenty of dreams, I may not even remember some of it anymore. But most those dreams were just fantasies because I was just kid before. Now, as I'm becoming older and mature, I am now more aware of my environment and becoming more realistic. Not like when I was a kid anymore, although there is still some, nonetheless I now think of realities.             I have a lot of big dreams in my life. I wanted to become either a doctor, scientist, lawyer, pilot or an engineer. But I became more realistic and said to myself that I can't be studying all of my life just to learn all of these professions, I just have to choose one.           Hi there! My full name is Marius Lorrence Alejon Padua, 16 years of age. I was born on May 13, 2003 at Metro Vigan Cooperative Hospital. Currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School ; I am a junior high school student, grade 10 student to be exact. I live at Cabanglutan, San Juan, Ilocos Sur and I ride on a bus everytime I go to school and to go home. I already practiced doing it since I was in grade 7 so there's nothing to worry about. Thanks to my parents, they pushed me to study here, instead of studying at San Juan National High School. If I don't practice to go far or away from my parents, I will have difficulties in adjusting myself when I will go to college.
