Environmental Awareness Month


          The Department of  Environment and Natural Resources has lined up for the double celebration of November as Environment Awareness and Clean Air month. Most of the activities on Environmental awareness focuses on climate change and solid waste management. This month of November , Environmental Awareness is declared.

          On the other hand, Republic Act 9512 or the National Environmental Awareness Education Act of 2008, declared the same month as, 'Environmental Awareness Month.' The program enjoins students to practice waste segregation at home and bring their recyclables to school in exchange for school supplies or cash. Environmental awareness is to understand that our environment is very important and it needs to be protected. We should be aware of the consequences of our actions because every little thing that we do can affect our environment.

          Our future also depends on our environment on how it benefits us on our everyday life. So if we don't have a good environment, it might destroy our future. Environmental awareness is an important part of our success. By sharing our ideas and knowledge to our friends and family that our environment is very important in our life, then we can begin fixing the problems that threaten it. Even in simple ways of putting our wastes in the right place can help the environment to be better.

"MY DREAM, MY FUTURE"

        When I was a kid,  I used to have plenty of dreams, I may not even remember some of it anymore. But most those dreams were just fantasies because I was just kid before. Now, as I'm becoming older and mature, I am now more aware of my environment and becoming more realistic. Not like when I was a kid anymore, although there is still some, nonetheless I now think of realities.             I have a lot of big dreams in my life. I wanted to become either a doctor, scientist, lawyer, pilot or an engineer. But I became more realistic and said to myself that I can't be studying all of my life just to learn all of these professions, I just have to choose one.           Hi there! My full name is Marius Lorrence Alejon Padua, 16 years of age. I was born on May 13, 2003 at Metro Vigan Cooperative Hospital. Currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School ; I am a junior high school student, grade 10 student to be exact. I live at Cabanglutan, San Juan, Ilocos Sur and I ride on a bus everytime I go to school and to go home. I already practiced doing it since I was in grade 7 so there's nothing to worry about. Thanks to my parents, they pushed me to study here, instead of studying at San Juan National High School. If I don't practice to go far or away from my parents, I will have difficulties in adjusting myself when I will go to college.
