"DEEP THOUGHT"

Image
I had learned how to make Microsoft Front Page and it is my first time to encounter it. It's not that hard to do, once you master the basics, I simply just follow the instructions. When it comes to our thematic assessment, that is speech choir, I had learned many things from of it. It challenged me to give my best that I have never done before. Because of it, I had to focus in order to perform well. It thought me how to discipline myself, especially when we were having our practice. There is also a time for being serious to do things right.           Some problems that bothered me was that, most of our teachers were too busy during the third quarter. Being busy means having no class, and it happens most of the time. Some teachers can't meet us during our period when they are busy. Sometimes they need to go in a particular place because they need to and for a reason they won't be able to meet us during our period. I'll admit that sometimes I become joyful wh

The Essence of Christmas

Image
Every person has his own priorities, his own wants and needs. Some people choose material things, while other prefer tangible ones such as love, piece, prosperity and good health among others. We are in that special season once again, a season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind! Jesus is the reason for the season .  In this month of December, it is a must for us to remember that our Lord came in this world in order to save us from our sins; He came to redeem us from the wickedness of this world.             Christmas is not all about merry making. We must also spare time to reflect on the essence of the period which is the love of God for humanity. This unquantifiable love is summed up in the popular bible verse John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave us his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him will not perish but have eternal life.”When we ponder on God’s

GAD VAWC

Image
Gender equality plays a crucial role in development. The Gender and Development actively promotes the advancement of women by combating the feminization of poverty through a series of GAD activities. This year, the newly-formed GAD committee has scheduled capacity-development building among NAPC staff and the basic sectors. Key activities include Gender-Sensitivity Training (GST) and Gender-Responsive Planning (GRP). This is to create gender awareness, identify gender issues, and establish a unified action plan in order to address them.           Violence against women appears as one of the country’s pervasive social problems. It is indeed alarming that despite efforts to address the concern, VAW persists. Societal norms and traditions dictate people to think men are the leaders, pursuers, providers, and take on dominant roles in society while women are nurturers. An even greater problem is the lack of concrete information to show the extent of VAW in the country as man

Environmental Awareness Month

Image
The Department of  Environment and Natural Resources has lined up for the double celebration of November as Environment Awareness and Clean Air month. Most of the activities on Environmental awareness focuses on climate change and solid waste management. This month of November , Environmental Awareness is declared.           On the other hand, Republic Act 9512 or the National Environmental Awareness Education Act of 2008, declared the same month as, 'Environmental Awareness Month.' The program enjoins students to practice waste segregation at home and bring their recyclables to school in exchange for school supplies or cash. Environmental awareness is to understand that our environment is very important and it needs to be protected. We should be aware of the consequences of our actions because every little thing that we do can affect our environment.           Our future also depends on our environment on how it benefits us on our everyday life. So if we don'

United Towards Development

Image
This year, United Nations is entitled with the theme, "Indigenous Languages, Matter for Sustainable Development, Peace Building and Reconciliation." This theme illustrates the purpose of the United Nations this year. The theme itself describes the movement for the United Nation to be done.           As a part of the United Nations, we must be a responsible individual. Each of us has the potential to change for the better, so we must be careful on what we do because it has an impact to our community. Speaking to the theme, we must accept other's languages for us to develop ourselves as one. In order to attain reconciliation, we should respect each other's differences,             We all know that we can't achieve development only by ourselves. We need help from others so that we can improve more because the more, the merrier. They say that no man is an island, even though it's cliche but it is true. We should not live alone, instead we should try t

"MIRRORING"

Image
Ahhh. . . .another quarter of my last Junior High School learning has come to an end. Another learning and lessons for the second quarter, lessons that cannot be identified one by one but rather as one. Yet, these things that I have learned will be intact in my head.           During the second quarter, I had some problems. One last problem about the shifting schedules but didn't bothered me much. For the last time, they changed our schedules and turned it back into regular period for us special class in grade 9 and 10. I had some hard time in adjusting myself for the schedule but not that hard and I hope that is final. Another is our thematic projects, some how I found it difficult but I'm thankful that it wasn't individual.           Projects are imperishable so I can't blame anyone for this. I just have to go on with the flow and I can't do anything but to do what is right and what should be.           Moving on, I will always continue to study a

ISNHS Intramurals

Image
ISNHS Intramurals was conducted last September 12-14, 2019.  Before the players began to play, there was first a parade in the school. There were many participants, among these participants are the players of different sports and some of the school teachers.           Because of the Intramurals, we had no classes. But still we went to school because our attendance is needed. Therefore, some of us students made some of our room some kind of booth. Mostly of these booths are marriage booth, chem lock, blind date, and message booth. You can go to these booths and pay depending on what booth you're into. Whether you like to prank your classmates and set him/her with his/her crush; or maybe you are just into messaging someone and many more.           During this day, you can either go to these booths or watch the intramurals, depending on your mood. But me, I didn't went to watch some gameplays during the day because there was none of us who were going and I had no co

A School Is more Fun with Happy Schools Movement

Image
The 'Happy Schools Movement' (HSM) project was launched by the Department of Education (DepEd) to increase learning productivity of students through fun and happy activities. The regional launch of HSM was held at the Vigan Convention Center on May 20, and was set on the theme: "Paaralang Masayang Maglingkod, Tagumpay ng Bata'y Itaguyod." Activities and movements had been in the c enter stage to make a child-friendly school. It is confirmed that a positive school can help decrease absenteeism, suspension and bullying. Likewise, it increases students' achievement and motivation to learn. HSM doesn't only concern learners but also the teachers. Happy teachers build a happy environment and mold happy le

Vigan City Celebrates World Heritage Cities Solidarity Day

Image
The word "solidarity", which in other word is unity. As the word applies, Vigan City celebrates with other cities around the world that have heritage sites. As the only heritage city in the Philippines, Vigan City once again celebrates this event for the whole month of September.           This celebration has a purpose of strengthening pride in the history and culture of Vigan. It also helps to continue in preserving the heritage structures that date back from the Spanish Regime. Vigan City, as one of the World Heritage Cities, Biguenos celebrates this event by performing some activities in some parts of Vigan. Some of this are folk dance, zarzuela, and even cultural quiz. They also gather at the Saint Paul Cathedral for the Solidarity Mass to renew their pledge to heritage conservation.           This is undeniably a great time to visit Vigan City because of the festivities during this month-long celebration. Vigan is open for you to drop in whenever you want

Buwan ng Wika Celebration

Image
A language is very important in society wherein people can communicate and express their feelings with others. This can also affect the way we interact with each other because without it, we barely understand each other. Each country have their different languages, some are used in a particular place and another one is their mostly used language which is their national language.           In the Philippines, "Buwan ng Wika" is celebrated every August. It's a month-long celebration that aims to increase awareness of the different languages found in the country. Languages also reflects the cultures and traditions of people that forms the identity of a specific place or country. By celebrating this, we will be able to appreciate more of our different cultures and traditions that we have.           It's a good thing that all of our languages found here in the Philippines is given an attention rather than celebrating only our national language, that is Filip

REFLECTION

Image
New classmates, new friends, another school year and another exciting part of my life. For the first quarter, I have learned many things to my teachers and classmates. First time that I have encountered in creating a blog, it was fun even though there were some difficulties in making one. We had good communications and interactions with my classmates. Because of schedules, shiftings, I learned how to manage my time despite of being late sometimes.            I have problems about the shifting schedules because I have difficulties in waking up early in the morning, if it is a morning shift. If it is a night shift, I go home very late because the school is a bit far from our house and I have to wait at the Partas Station for a ride to go home. Then I'll be late in eating my dinner, sometimes my mom and dad were finished eating their meals when I arrive. But I still find shifting schedules interesting. Requirements is also a problem, especially projects and outputs but I&#

National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Image
Performing earthquake drill is not bad, it’s for the sake of everyone in order for us to be prepared. Just like Howard Ruff said, “It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.” This means that long before a disaster comes, we should be prepared.                      Preparing for a disaster is not the only way we should do, we should also be aware about the happenings around us. We should know the basics when disaster comes, like by doing dock cover and hold. By learning all of these, we also know when and how to apply these things.                   “Prevention is better than cure,” so it is better if we are prepared. https://www.baguiocityguide.com/tag/what-to-do-during-an-earthquake/

National Disaster Resilience Month “Kahandaan Sa Sakuna’t Pagbabago”

Image
“Tough times don’t last, tough people do.” –Robert Schuller. As we face all of the disasters that comes to us, we get stronger every time we survive all of these. The true resilience is not about how high you have achieved, it’s about how you fought back out of all the difficulties you’ve been through.            Being ready is one of the most important thing to do. To be ready is a must because we’ll never know when will a disaster strike. During a disaster, we should calm ourselves and think of what to do. Even if it is destructive or not, be sure to be strong and think smart.           Bad things sometimes last but not for long, so we need to confront these things with courage and strength. If we overcome all of these we will be stronger in our life and also the next time we could encounter another disaster.                                                                                                       http://bicol.politics.com.ph/2018/07/05/palaw

Nutrition Month: “Kumain ng Wasto, Maging Aktibo, Push Natin ‘to!” HEALTH IS WEALTH

Image
“Health is wealth.” A simple quote but means everything to us. So we should take care of our health because it is very important to our life. If you have good health, then you’ll be able to live longer and enjoy life. In order to have a good health, we must have a healthy lifestyle.           Healthy lifestyle is by having a balanced diet, exercising, and enough rest. We should maintain all of these in order for us to be healthy.   We have to be aware of what we are eating because this is where we get our nutrition. Having a balanced diet means that we should eat the right food that we need. We should manage our time and if possible, we should have our time to exercise. Exercising can make our body fit and healthy. This way we can immune any illness and to get away from it. Having enough rest is also important because it serves as our energy to do our task in our daily life.           “Health is not valued ‘till sickness comes.”-Thomas Fuller. Before it’s too la

Letter To The President

Image
Dear President Duterte: Greetings Mr. President! It’s an honor for me to make this letter for you. Since the day that you became our president, everything changed. You’ve changed our country to the better version of it. I admired your State of the Nation Address because I had learned many things from it and it was decent. My parents also said to me that, out of all the president that had their SONA, you were the best. Because of your SONA, many of us believed what you’ve said and we convinced. I may not remember all of the things but many of it remained in my head. I know that you will not fail us Filipinos, may you continue to live and to serve us Filipinos. Once again, thank you Mr. President! http://backgrounddownload.com/pluma-at-papel-background-4/

121st Independence Day

Image
Independence Day is one of the most celebrated occasion here in the Philippines. This is the day when we Filipinos achieved our freedom from the Spaniards after being colonized within 333 years. It was first celebrated on June 12, 1892 and was led by former President Emilio Aguinaldo.           As of now Independence Day is continuously being celebrated for honoring our ancestors. Sometimes we students are being benefited because we have no class on that day. For me, Independence day is the start of us Filipinos to stand on our own and be independent.          I thank our ancestors and heroes who fought for our freedom and sacrificed their lives. They had the guts to do it for our country and I salute them.           https://www.123rf.com/photo_101121759_stock-vector-philippines-independence-day-holiday-background-with-watercolor-abstract-flag-in-grunge-heart-shape-.html

Description About Myself

Image
Hi there! My full name is Marius Lorrence Alejon Padua, 16 years of age. I was born on May 13, 2003 at Metro Vigan Cooperative Hospital. Currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School ; I am a junior high school student, grade 10 student to be exact. I live at Cabanglutan, San Juan, Ilocos Sur and I ride on a bus everytime I go to school and to go home. I already practiced doing it since I was in grade 7 so there's nothing to worry about. Thanks to my parents, they pushed me to study here, instead of studying at San Juan National High School. If I don't practice to go far or away from my parents, I will have difficulties in adjusting myself when I will go to college. I also wanted to got to Special Science Class but again, thanks to my parents, they wanted me to be in Special Mathematics Class and luckily I didn't r egret going to SMC. https://www.scanyourentirelife.com/how-write-a-autobiography-vs-memoir-difference-life-story-secret-tips/
